Suwa Jinja in Takadanobaba is a venerable shrine that enshrines the divided spirit of Suwa Taisha of Shinshū. Since the Edo period, it has served as the tutelary shrine of this region, watching over the lives of its residents. The deity of Suwa is known as a god of martial valor, bestowing strength to face hardship and competition. True to its nature as a students' town, Takadanobaba, it is a steadfast ally to examination candidates and young people in job hunting. Though small, it is a warm shrine deeply rooted in the community.
