Daibun Hachiman Miya

Daibun Hachiman Miya is a shrine dedicated to Hachiman that has been enshrined in Daibun, Iizuka since ancient times. Enshrining Hachiman no Okami, it is known as a shrine for martial prowess and winning fortune, and has gathered the deep faith of local people. During the era when coal mining thrived in the Chikuho region, it served an important role as a place where miners prayed for safety. Even now, as the tutelary shrine of the community, it draws many visitors. From within the grounds, one can look out over the streets of Iizuka for a peaceful visit.
