Yasue Hachimangu and Kanazawa Suiten Jinja

This is a quite rare shrine where Yasue Hachimangu and Kanazawa Suiten Jinja are combined as one. Hachiman-sama, as the god of martial fortune, and Suiten Jinja, as the deity of safe childbirth and child-rearing, have each been revered by many people. Though located in the heart of Kanazawa, in the quiet precincts both deities dwell peacefully together. To have both the god of war and the god of compassion present together is quite reassuring, is it not? This harmony is very much to my liking.
