Kanazawa Jinja

Kanazawa Jinja is a shrine well known as the deity of learning, situated in a beautiful corner of Kenroku Garden. It enshrines Sugawara Michizane as its principal kami and is a shrine of distinguished origin that began as the academy of the Maeda clan.
