History
Ōshōgō Tenmangū is a Tenmangū shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, revered as the deity of learning. Since its establishment in this location, it has long been cherished by the local people as a place of learning. Tenmangū shrines are indeed famous for prayers for examination success. Many votive plaques are dedicated within the grounds, inscribed with the sincere wishes of students and those devoted to their studies. During the season when plum blossoms bloom beautifully, many pilgrims visit, their thoughts turned to Michizane. It is a shrine rooted in the community with a warm atmosphere, continuing to watch over those who pray for the achievement of learning.
