KanzeOn-ji

Kanzeон-ji in Dazaifu is said to have been founded by the vow of Emperor Tenchi. It has carved a long history as the center of Buddhist culture in Kyushu. Once an important temple that oversaw Buddhist affairs throughout Kyushu, it was a place where many monks devoted themselves to practice and Buddhist culture flourished.
