Hakusan Jinja

Hakusan Jinja of Morioka is a shrine with efficacious spiritual power that has been revered since ancient times as a sacred site of Hakusan faith. The deity of Hakusan is particularly known as a protector of women, and is said to bestow deep blessings for safe childbirth, child-rearing, and romantic connection. Enshrined in Kunegawa, this shrine has continued to gather people's faith alongside the development of the Morioka castle town. Pure air flows through the shrine grounds, enveloped in the gentle compassion of the Hakusan deity. Particularly many female worshipers visit, and the custom of paying respects at important milestones in life continues to this day.
