Tsuman Jinja, enshrined in Saito, is known as an ancient shrine with connections to Japanese mythology. This land is a stage of mythology that appears in both the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is believed to have deep ties to Empress Consort Himeta Tarasuki Hime-no-Mimi, the consort of Emperor Jinmu. Located near the Saito-hara Kofun tumulus cluster, one can feel the atmosphere of this sacred land continuing from ancient times. Famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, the grounds adorned with beautiful blossoms in spring are truly magnificent.
