History
Dainichi-ji is beloved as the twenty-eighth temple of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Temple Pilgrimage. This ancient temple, located in Noichi, Kōnan, enshrines Dainichi Nyorai as its principal object of worship and has long gathered the faith of many people. It is said to have been founded when Kobo Daishi visited Shikoku on his pilgrimage, and for over a thousand years since then, it has served as an important pilgrimage site welcoming countless pilgrims.
