Aja-kane Jinja

Aja-kane Jinja is enshrined in Nishi-da-machi, Koriyama as a shrine with a history extending from ancient times. The shrine's name derives from ancient language and is a precious existence transmitting the tradition of regional indigenous beliefs and nature worship to the present. Together with the place name Ota, it has long gathered faith as the deity protecting the region's agriculture and livelihood. Maintaining the form of rituals passed down from ancient times, it continues to be cherished as a source of spiritual support for local people. The shrine's history is itself the history of the region.
