Ukitake Jinja

Ukitake Jinja is enshrined on the beautiful Mount Ukitake on the Itoshima Peninsula and has long been revered as a sacred site of mountain worship. Ukitake is a spiritual peak with an elevation of 805 meters, with the shrine built near its summit. As the mountain deity presiding over the blessings of nature, it has watched over the safety of mountaineers and local people. Situated in this land surrounded by the rich sea and mountains of Itoshima, the shrine has functioned as a sacred place connecting heaven and earth.
