Oku Hachiman Jinja is enshrined in Nishi-Oku in Arakawa Ward, a Hachiman shrine. The place name Oku is said to derive from the word "oku" (inner), and it is also said to have once meant the remote interior of Musashi Province. At the autumn grand festival, the entire community celebrates together with the lively atmosphere of traditional festivities.
