Narinashijinja

Narinashijinja is an ancient shrine situated in the scenic Uranouchi Bay overlooking Tosa Bay. It is said to have been founded during the reign of Emperor Ichijō (986–1011) and was deeply revered as the clan shrine of the Ichijō family. The shrine's name "Narinashi" is said to derive from the calm inlet at this location, where the wind and waves do not "make a sound." It is particularly known for its benefits regarding matchmaking, and the temple grounds, set against a beautiful sea backdrop, are also popular as a wedding venue. The shrine is beloved as a place full of love, where couples and spouses continue to visit hand in hand, seeking its blessings.
