Mishima Taisha

Mishima Taisha is a prestigious shrine with over a thousand years of history as the primary shrine of Izu Province. It is famous for Minamoto no Yoritomo's prayer for the restoration of the Minamoto clan, and it received the devoted faith of many military commanders. The shrine enshrines Oyama-tsumi no Mikoto and Kotoshiro-nushi no Kami, and is particularly known for its virtues of prosperous business and traffic safety.
