History
Tada Jinja is a community-rooted shrine enshrined in Tada-cho, Fukui City. The place name Tada is an ancient designation for this land and has been venerated as a guardian deity for people who engaged in agricultural livelihoods. Located in one corner of the Fukui Plain, this shrine is surrounded by abundant rice fields and has continued to watch over the lives of community members through the changing seasons. As a spiritual support for generations of people who have dwelt in this land, and also as a shrine that warmly welcomes those newly settling here, it stands steadfast.
