Ashigura-ji

Ashigura-ji is a sacred site long passed down in deep Ikeda of Miyoshi. This temple, built on a steep mountainside, is a holy place visited by many monks and pilgrims as a place of spiritual practice. As the name Ashigura suggests, it is a place that teaches gratitude for one's daily sustenance and the abundance found in a simple life. The serene environment surrounded by nature in the mountains is an excellent place to purify the heart and strengthen the spirit. Within the temple grounds reached by walking a long approach path, one can forget the troubles of daily life and offer sincere prayers.
