Miwa Jinja

Miwa Jinja is enshrined in Miwacho, Kanazawa. Like the great Oomiwa Jinja in Nara, it enshrines Omiwa no Kami and has long been cherished as the tutelary deity of the local community. Omiwa no Kami is the deity of nation-building and is said to bring benefits especially in business and enterprise success. Local merchants and business owners have visited the shrine for generations, continuously praying for the town's development. Though small, this is a shrine with deep history, and I am moved by such steady devotion.
