Matsubara Jinja

Matsubara Jinja is enshrined in central Saga City, receiving deep reverence from the Nabeshima clan, lords of Saga Han. Enshrining Takenouchi no Sukune no Mikoto as its principal deity, it has been cherished as a kami of longevity and good fortune. Its grounds feature an impressive tower gate, reflecting its long history watching over Saga's streets. As a tutelary shrine, festivals and seasonal observances are vibrant, with many visitors during autumn festivities. Though in the city center, its grounds maintain tranquility, providing a valuable space for the heart to find relief.
