Koutai Jinja

Koutai Jinja is a shrine of distinguished standing that enshrines Amaterasu Ōmikami. Part of the Koutai Jingū lineage with the Ise Grand Shrine as its headquarters, it is affectionately known as "Yamagata's Ise." Through the divine virtue of Amaterasu Ōmikami, it is revered as an omnipotent deity capable of fulfilling all wishes.
