Komagata Jinja

Komagata Jinja is enshrined in Yamamiya, Fujinomiya, and holds deep connections to Mount Fuji faith. It enshrines Komagata Daijin and has long been revered as a protective deity of horses and a deity governing safe travel. This location at the foot of Mount Fuji was historically an important center for Mount Fuji pilgrimages. Travelers and those with horses prayed here for safe passage, while farmers using horses in their work also made offerings for their animals' health. Today it continues to be beloved by many for its blessings of traffic and travel safety.
