Toda Jinja

Toda Jinja is enshrined in Toda, Numazu City, and has been cherished as the guardian deity of a picturesque fishing village facing Suruga Bay. In this beautiful location surrounded by sea and mountains, it has long collected the faith of those engaged in fishing and local residents. Toda is also known as a port town for the landing of deep-sea fish, and fishermen hold deep faith in this shrine, offering gratitude for the blessings of the sea and praying for maritime safety. Additionally, it is a historic port where the Russian ship Diana underwent repairs during the late Edo period.
