Ishite-ji Okunooin

Ishite-ji Okunooin is a sacred site situated deeper within Ishite-ji. Located beyond the mountain path from the Main Hall, this holy place has long been revered as a location for deeper practice and prayer. The serene, mountain-surrounded environment is ideal for purifying the heart and cleansing the soul. Within the solemn atmosphere unique to the Okunooin, visitors come to offer particularly earnest wishes and important prayers. It has been believed that one receives more mystical and remarkably efficacious divine blessings here, distinct from those of the main temple.
