Tosho-gu

Tosho-gu, enshrined in Takayama, is a shrine of distinguished origin that enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu. With a history extending from the Edo period, it serves as a precious historic site that speaks to how the influence of the Tokugawa clan extended even to the land of Hida. Known affectionately as the Gongen, it is said to have particular benefits for advancement and good fortune.
