Sennen Jinja

Sennen Jinja is a shrine nestled deep within the nature of Chitose. As evident from the place name Izumi-sawa (spring marsh), it is built in a sacred location blessed with clear spring water. The name 'Sennen' (thousand years) contains the wish that this land will know eternal peace. Surrounded by abundant nature, this shrine is cherished by local people as a place to purify the heart. Together with the beautiful nature of all four seasons, it is a very special shrine where one can enjoy communion with the deity in silence.
