Kabuashima Jinja

Kabuashima Jinja is an unusual shrine enshrined on a small island called Kabuashima in Hachinohe. The island, designated as a natural monument as a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls, is bustling with tens of thousands of gulls from spring through summer. The shrine enshrines Benzaiten and is particularly known for its divine blessings of fishing safety and business prosperity.
