Teineui Jinja

Teineui Jinja is a central shrine of the region located in Teineui Honmachi. The place name Teineui is said to derive from the Ainu word "Teine" (wet), representing a land blessed with abundant water. It was likely established as spiritual support by people who settled here with the Meiji period development.
