History

Onsen-ji is known as the 18th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, located in Onso-ji Valley in Tano-cho, Komatsushima City. As a sacred site where Kobo Daishi practiced asceticism, it boasts a history of over 1,200 years. True to its name "Onsen" (grace toward parents), it has received special veneration as a temple that deepens appreciation for one's mother and strengthens family bonds.
