This shrine of great prestige stands in a corner of the Hyuga castle town. Its beautifully vermillion-painted shrine buildings are constructed in the Gongen style, modeled after the Nikko Toshogu. With its vibrant decorations and solemn appearance, it radiates a dignity truly worthy of being called "Kyushu's Nikko."
