Minato-kawajinja

Minato-kawa Jinja, majestically enshrined in central Kobe, is a shrine dedicated to Kusunoki Masashige, a loyal retainer of the Northern and Southern Courts period. Founded in 1872 (Meiji 5) to console the spirit of Masashige, who fell in the Battle of Minato-kawa in 1336, this shrine is affectionately known as "Nanko-san." Benefiting from the loyalty, wisdom, and valor of Masashige, many people visit to pray.
