Kakuozan Nittai-ji is a rare temple in the world that enshrines the true relics of Buddha. It was established as a symbol of friendship between Japan and Thailand to enshrine the sacred remains of Buddha gifted by the Thai King during the Meiji period. As a non-sectarian temple transcending all Buddhist traditions, it is a special place where all Buddhists can pay their respects. The temple grounds are filled with international character and an atmosphere imbued with wishes for world peace. On the 21st of each month, the temple attracts many visitors, and the entire Kakuozan district becomes lively.
