Kakuozan Nittai-ji

Kakuozan Nittai-ji is a rare temple in the world that enshrines the true relics of Buddha. It was established as a symbol of friendship between Japan and Thailand to enshrine the sacred remains of Buddha gifted by the Thai King during the Meiji period. As a non-sectarian temple transcending all Buddhist traditions, it is a special place where all Buddhists can pay their respects. On the 21st of each month, the temple attracts many visitors, and the entire Kakuozan district becomes lively.
