Onnazuka Jinja

Onnazuka Jinja, located in Nishi-Kamata, Ota Ward, is a mystical shrine adorned with ancient legends. There are various theories about the origin of its name, but it is said to have been built to console the spirit of a woman who rests in this land from ancient times. This small shrine has been carefully protected by local people and has quietly watched over the community. Continuing to serve as a spiritual anchor for the community from the Edo period through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras, it now stands quietly nestled in a residential neighborhood, cherished as a source of comfort for the local people.
