Sanko Kumano Jinja

Sanko Kumano Jinja is a shrine located in Ushijima, Akita City, enshrining the divided spirits of the three Kumano mountains. The kami of Kumano have long been worshipped as deities of resurrection and rebirth, holding divine virtues that support new beginnings in life. The name "Sanko" represents the three kami of the three Kumano mountains, each bestowing different blessings.
