Truly a heavenly sanctuary dwelling at the edge of the clouds. This venerable ancient temple is said to have been where Kobo Daishi engaged in practice at age sixteen, and is now accessible by ropeway as well. The view from the mountain summit is magnificent, overlooking the Sanuki Plain and even the Seto Inland Sea. In this sacred place near heaven, one's spirit becomes light and buoyant.
