Ebisu Jinja

Ebisu Jinja is enshrined in Ebisu-cho, Naka Ward, Hiroshima City, and is beloved as "Ebisu-san," the deity of commerce. The annual "Ebisu Lecture" held each November is particularly famous as a winter tradition of Hiroshima, with many merchants and citizens visiting to pray for prosperity in their businesses. A shrine with traditions continuing from the Edo period, it has gathered faith alongside the commercial development of Hiroshima Castle Town. Currently located in the heart of Hiroshima's commercial district, it receives devoted faith from local shopping streets and business-related organizations, truly serving as the guardian deity of Hiroshima merchants.
