Kameyama Jinja

Kameyama Jinja is an ancient shrine situated on a hilltop in Kure, standing as if watching over Kure Harbor. From ancient times, this place has been cherished as a site of faith for praying for maritime safety. Particularly during Kure's prosperous years as a naval city, many people visited to pray for safe voyages and martial success. The grounds offer a magnificent view overlooking Kure Bay, and the beautiful landscape of the Seto Inland Sea soothes the hearts of visitors. As the guardian deity of the community, this venerable shrine continues to be beloved by many.
