Kanmuri Inari Jinja

Kanmuri Inari Jinja is counted among Japan's seven great Inari shrines and represents a distinguished ancient shrine founded during the Jowa era of the Heian period. According to tradition, the name "Kanmuri Inari" derives from Minamoto no Yoshiie's offering of his helmet at this shrine during his campaign to subjugate the north, and it is known for its spiritual efficacy in assuring military fortune.
