Hida Ichinomiya Mizunashi Jinja

Hida Ichinomiya Mizunashi Jinja is a venerable shrine that has been revered since ancient times as the primary shrine of Hida Province. The enshrined deity is Mizunashi no Kami, an important god who presides over the blessings of water and mountains in the Hida region. The spring festival, in which sacred wood is transported from Mount Kurai in a ceremony known as "Ichiui Ittou-bori," is renowned and the shrine plays a central role in Hida's traditional culture.
