History
Known as the thirty-second temple on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. Transmitted to have been founded by Prince Shotoku, the main hall at the summit commands a spectacular view of Lake Biwa. Through the profound compassion of Kannon, countless pilgrims have climbed the steep mountain path to worship since ancient times. The quiet grounds evoke the Pure Land of Kannon itself, a truly sacred space.
