Tamasuri Yu Jinja

Tamasuri Yu Jinja is the guardian deity of the Tamayu hot spring, known since ancient times as the "hot spring of the gods." Enshrining Kushiakaru-tama no Mikoto, Oomononushi no Mikoto, and Sukunahikona no Mikoto, it is known throughout the nation particularly for its benefits regarding beautiful skin and good relationships. The land of Tamayu, which appears in the Kojiki, was also a sacred site for the crafting of magatama beads. Within the sanctuary are the "wish stone" and the "fulfillment stone," and it is said that if you touch the wish stone and take away the fulfillment stone, your wishes will come true. This shrine, nestled in a beautiful hot spring town, is truly a sacred site of beauty and good relationships that beautifies both heart and body.
