Kinryu Jinja

Kinryu Jinja, enshrined within the grounds of Kofuku-ji, is a small yet spiritually powerful shrine dedicated to the Dragon Deity. Carefully preserved as the protective shrine of Kofuku-ji since ancient times, it is particularly known for its benefits related to rainfall prayers and matters concerning water. The dragon, as a deity governing water and as a symbol of ascent and rising fortune, is also associated with advancement and improvement of one's luck. Located within Nara Park, while visited by many tourists, it is cherished by local residents as their familiar protective deity.
