History

Byakko

Jodo-ji Temple, guarded by this white fox, has been a sacred place illuminated by Amitabha Buddha's light since the Heian period. Nestled in Onomichi's mountains, it has gently guided pilgrims' hearts for centuries. Through the passage of time, I have watched over countless wishes. Those who chanted the nembutsu here still keep opening the gates to the Pure Land.
