Omiya Hikawa Jinja is a distinguished shrine boasting a history of over two thousand years as the primary shrine of Musashi Province. It enshrines three deities: Susanoo no Mikoto, Inada Hime no Mikoto, and Okuninushi no Mikoto. Revered as one of the oldest and most important shrines in the Kanto region, it is particularly known for its divine blessings of matrimonial harmony and matchmaking. The expansive grounds contain ancient sacred trees with ages of several hundred years and a beautiful shrine pond. Despite being located in an urban area, the shrine is enveloped in a sacred atmosphere as if surrounded by a pristine forest. As the shrine from which the place name "Omiya" derives, it continues to serve as a spiritual foundation for countless people as a representative sacred site of the Kanto region.
