History
Rokusho Jinja is enshrined in Ogusa-cho, Matsue, and as its name suggests, it enshrines six deities. The name 'Rokusho' derives from the practice of venerating multiple deities together, a form found in venerable shrines throughout the nation. Since ancient times, it has been the tutelary shrine of the Ogusa district and has been devoutly worshipped by local people. Reflecting the agricultural character of the region, it has a history of receiving many pilgrims praying for abundant harvests and household safety. Known for granting the divine virtues of multiple deities at once, it is beloved by people with various wishes, serving as a warm, community-centered shrine.
