Sapporo Soryo Jinja is a shrine that reverently enshrines the spirits of ancestors. Located in the central part of Sapporo in Chuo Ward, it bears the important role of comforting the spirits of many people who lived in this land and transmitting their virtues to future generations. Created with gratitude and respect for our predecessors who have supported Sapporo's development from the pioneer era to modern times, it has become a spiritual support for the local community. When one joins hands in prayer within the serene grounds, feelings of gratitude toward one's ancestors naturally arise. It is a shrine of special significance where one prays for the prosperity of one's family line and the happiness of descendants.
