History
Sada Jinja is a venerable shrine long revered as the Second Ranked Shrine of Izumo Province! It enshrines Sada Ōkami and is also called Sada Taisya. It is distinguished by its unique three-hall sanctuary structure, with the Central Hall, Southern Hall, and Northern Hall each enshrining different deities. Particularly, the Sada Shinō sacred music and dance tradition continues to be transmitted as an ancient and elegant performance art. This shrine is recorded in the Izumo Fudoki and is a shrine of proper lineage. Affectionately known as "Sada no Ōkami-san" by local people, it is a spiritually potent sacred site visited by many pilgrims.
