Kouyamaji, located in Zentsuji City, is an ancient temple serving as the seventy-fourth station of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Temple Pilgrimage. As a place connected to Kobo Daishi Kukai, it has gathered the faith of people for over a thousand years. True to its name "Kouyama" (Armor Mountain), the temple stands atop a small hill offering beautiful views overlooking the Sanuki Plain.
