Oyachi Jinja is a shrine rooted in the residential district of Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo. The place name Oyachi derives from the fact that this area was once a yachi, or wetland. From the pioneer era onward, it has continuously watched over the lives of local people, serving as an approachable and cherished shrine. Walking in step with the development of the residential neighborhood, it is now beloved by many from neighboring families to elderly residents. As a guardian deity that can be casually visited in daily life, it is treasured as the true protector spirit of the community.
