History
Enshrined in Seike-cho, Oita, Kasuga Jinja is an esteemed shrine whose kami were invited from Kasuga Taisha in Nara. Revered as the tutelary deity of the Fujiwara clan, it has long been cherished as the guardian shrine of the community. It enshrines the four deities of Kasuga, including Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, and is particularly venerated as a deity of learning and martial arts. The ancient sacred trees in the shrine grounds have protected the community for many years, offering solace to visitors. As a pillar of support for the local people's hearts, it walks alongside their daily lives.
