Mudoji is a temple enshrined in Kurodo, Bungo-Taketa City, with Fudo Myoo as its principal object of worship. As the name 'Mudoji' suggests, Fudo Myoo is a Buddha who does not waver in the face of any difficulty, representing a strong spirit, and has long been venerated for its benefits in calamity prevention and spiritual protection. Though Bungo-Taketa is known as the town of Showa, it is a region where Buddhist culture has been rooted since ancient times. The Fudo Myoo of Mudoji is said to sever the confusion of worshippers and grant them the power to pursue their goals with strong determination. Within the serene atmosphere of the temple grounds, visitors can worship with a peaceful heart.
