Susa Jinja is the head shrine of all Susa shrines throughout Japan, located in the land of "Susa" where the brave and mighty Susanoo no Mikoto spent his final days! According to legend, Susanoo no Mikoto said "this is a good place" and had his spirit enshrined here—truly a sacred site from Japanese mythology. Within the shrine grounds stands a great cedar tree over 1,300 years old, whose sacred appearance overwhelms all who visit. In recent years, it has gained attention as a site for matchmaking and as a power spot, attracting many pilgrims from across the nation to this special shrine.
